    Overview of Specialty Pharmacy Services

JPCHC specialty pharmacy services are available to help those who are prescribed high-cost medications or seeking treatment for conditions including psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, HIV, AIDS, HepC, and migraine. Help with medication costs

Talk to your Provider about medications prescribed you cannot afford. They will connect you to our Health & Outreach Advocates (HOAs) for free support to help you apply for various assistance programs available that may be able to help.

Our health center collaborates with various pharmaceutical companies, state programs and nonprofits that have drug assistance programs (PAPs) to offer free or low-cost medicines if you don’t have insurance or are underinsured and can’t afford your medicine.

Program requirements and benefits all vary. Our Advocates can help you apply for the latest benefits based on what your Provider prescribes. You must be a patient and your Provider will need to sign off on your applications.

Please note, processing time for the prescription assistance program can sometimes take up to 4 weeks (sometimes longer with medication shipping). This is up to the manufacturers and not something JPCHC can control.
Typically, if your application is approved the medication is shipped to your health center and the HOA will contact you to let you know it’s ready for pick up.

JPCHC is a covered entity under the federal 340B Drug Pricing Program. For our uninsured patients, or those without prescription insurance coverage, your Provider may be able to enroll you in the 340B program when they send in qualifying prescriptions. You’ll get a card making you eligible for select discounted 340B Drug costs across about 100 participating pharmacy partner sites, including Walgreens.
