ALERT: Protections are ending, check your coverage now!
Medicaid coverage protections included in the federal public health emergency have ended, with new redetermination actions beginning April 2023. If you are enrolled in one of Indiana’s Medicaid health coverage programs, including Healthy Indiana Plan, Hoosier Healthwise, or Hoosier Care Connect, take action now to ensure uninterrupted coverage.
Don’t wait for the FSSA to contact you! Take action and update your contact information online:
- Go to FSSABenefits.IN.gov
- Scroll down to the “Manage Your Benefits” section (in blue)
- Click on either “Sign in to My Account” or “Create Account” (you may need your case number and social security number handy)
- Update your contact information as needed!
Call the Indiana FSSA at 1-800-403-0864 if you need assistance. Keep an eye out for mail and be sure to respond with any information the FSSA asks for.
Learn which health coverage program you qualify for
New to the Indiana Medicaid system? Eligibility for Medicaid is mainly based on earned and unearned income (before taxes) and family size. Other factors, like disability status and pregnancy, will also play a part in which Medicaid member group you qualify for.
Note: Medicaid coverage is available, regardless of citizenship status, if you are pregnant or require treatment for an emergency medical condition. A doctor must certify that you are pregnant or had an emergency, and you must meet all other eligibility requirements.
