We are seeking a part-time Dental Hygienist join our dedicated Dental Team. In this role, you will deliver high-quality preventive oral healthcare, educate patients on good oral hygiene practices, and support the overall mission of improving community health.
Job Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Provide direct patient care, including prophylaxis, debridement, hand scaling, sealants, fluoride treatments, and radiographs.
- Perform patient assessments, including charting, periodontal evaluations, and vital signs.
- Review medical histories and document patient conditions, needs, and chief complaints.
- Develop and implement individualized dental care plans under the supervision of a dentist.
- Assist with dental emergencies, implementing appropriate interventions as needed.
- Set up, maintain, and sterilize dental instruments and equipment per established guidelines.
- Educate patients and families on oral hygiene, preventive care, and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient records and reports.
- Support clinic operations, including patient reception, triage, and office duties as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Associates degree from an accredited dental hygiene program.
- Valid dental hygiene license (Indiana).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willing to complete upon start.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and institutional regulations governing dental outpatient services.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
