What This Means for Your Care
Services we DO provide
- Annual gynecologic exams
- Pap Smear testing
- STI testing & treatment
- Contraceptive care, including placing Nexplanon and IUDs
- Pregnancy testing
- General primary care for women & babies (whole family)
Services we REFER OUT
- Surgical procedures that must happen in the hospital such as hysterectomies, fibroid removal, tumor removal, some biopsies
- Delivery of babies, including vaginal deliveries
- Specialty prenatal care for high-risk pregnancies, such as genetic testing, hypertension management, diabetic pregnancy care, etc.
- Prenatal care after a positive pregnancy test
How It Works
FOR GYNECOLOGY PATIENTS:
If our providers determine that you need a surgical procedure, our nurses will coordinate a referral to a provider who can perform the procedure.
Patients can return to JPCHC for their general gynecologic care.
FOR PREGNANT PATIENTS:
We still offer pregnancy testing for those who think they may be pregnant. If you receive a positive test, we will refer you out for prenatal care and delivery.
You can return to your JPCHC provider for regular gynecologic care and pediatric care for your new baby!
