What This Means for Your Care
Services we DO provide
- Annual gynecologic exams
- Pap Smear testing
- STI testing & treatment
- Contraceptive care, including placing Nexplanon and IUDs
- Pregnancy testing
- Prenatal care through 32 weeks of pregnancy
- General primary care for women & babies (whole family)
Services we REFER OUT
- Surgical procedures that must happen in the hospital such as hysterectomies, fibroid removal, tumor removal, some biopsies
- Delivery of babies, including vaginal deliveries
- Specialty prenatal care for high-risk pregnancies, such as genetic testing, hypertension management, diabetic pregnancy care, etc.
How It Works
FOR GYNECOLOGY PATIENTS:
If our providers determine that you need a surgical procedure, our nurses will coordinate a referral to a provider who can perform the procedure.
Patients can return to JPCHC for their general gynecologic care.
FOR PREGNANT PATIENTS:
Our providers will care for you through the 32nd week of your pregnancy. Most pregnancies are around 40 weeks long.
Before 32 weeks, our nurses will discuss your delivery options with you and coordinate care with the provider of your choice. That provider will provide your final 8 weeks of prenatal care and deliver your baby in the hospital.
After the birth, return to JPCHC for your postnatal care and your baby’s care, too!
