Jane Pauley Community Health Center Appoints New Executive Leadership

Indianapolis, IN – October 20, 2025 – In a period of substantial organizational growth, the Jane Pauley Community Health Center appoints new executive leadership.

On October 13th, the Jane Pauley Community Health Center (JPCHC) welcomed Dr. Karen Hill to the team as their new Chief Medical Officer. Additionally, JPCHC added a Chief Information Officer, Eric Serrano, to further bolster growth efforts and prioritize data management and security. As a Federally Qualified Health Center, these leadership roles are crucial to the organization’s success.

Strong leadership is especially essential during this time as JPCHC has grown to 18 clinics across six counties, serving over 100,000 patients annually, and federal funding and legislative changes strain community health providers. Dr. Hill’s extensive experience in advocacy and clinical leadership will play a vital role in the future of the organization.

“Ensuring access to quality care is a top priority for me,” says Dr. Karen Hill, “and I am honored to have the opportunity to continue pursuing that goal with the Jane Pauley Community Health Center. I can’t wait to see what we can accomplish together.”

Dr. Hill has over 20 years of medical leadership experience. She has practiced as a Physician Owner and served as Chief Medical Officer and Vice President at Texas Children’s Health Plan and Community Health Choice in Houston.

Eric Serrano was appointed Chief Information Officer following success in his role as Director of Information Technology at JPCHC for the past 4 years. Prior to joining JPCHC, Eric had a distinguished career of over 15 years in cybersecurity and IT infrastructure.

“Dr. Hill’s deep understanding of medical leadership and financial concerns related to FQHCs will undoubtedly bring insight to the organization to further strengthen our ability to provide access to care,” says Marc Hackett, Chief Executive Officer of the Jane Pauley Community Health Center, “Her work will dovetail with the Clinical Informatics and Business Intelligence growth that Eric Serrano is driving as CIO. These efforts reflect our commitment to growing our network and providing high quality care to more patients across Indiana.”

As part of the 2026 growth plan, JPCHC is adding additional services such as Optometry and Addiction Recovery Treatment, as well as additional retail pharmacy locations.
