A New Year at Jane Pauley Community Health Center

A New Year at Jane Pauley Community Health Center

As we begin a new year, the team at the Jane Pauley Community Health Center (JPCHC) can’t wait to see what growth and improvement are ahead. In 2026, we have exciting plans underway to expand services and continue strengthening care across the communities we serve. New offerings on the horizon include optometry services, Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) groups, expanded pharmacy access, and continued growth at the ROCK Community Center.

Optometry

One of the most anticipated additions to JPCHC’s service offerings in 2026 is optometry. This service has been a long-standing goal, and we are excited that plans are now in place to bring it to life. An optometrist is expected to join the team at the beginning of 2026, with patient appointments anticipated to begin in the first quarter of the year.

Optometry services will support both adult and pediatric patients through comprehensive eye exams, as well as glasses fittings and orders. This addition will be especially impactful for patients living with diabetes, who are at increased risk of vision loss and eye disease. Services will initially launch at the Arlington location, with the potential for expansion in the future.

IOP Groups

JPCHC is also preparing to introduce Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) groups in 2026. IOPs provide a structured, higher-level therapy option for individuals who need more support than traditional weekly therapy can offer. Through group sessions led by licensed professionals, patients will have access to more frequent and focused care.

These groups specifically benefit individuals receiving treatment for substance use disorder (SUD), offering a critical step in the continuum of care and recovery process.

Pharmacy

Following the successful launch of clinic-based and home delivery pharmacy services in 2025, JPCHC is exploring opportunities to expand pharmacy access in 2026. While the pharmacy is currently located at the 16th Street site, additional locations could significantly improve convenience and access for patients across Central Indiana.

Expanding pharmacy services aligns with JPCHC’s commitment to making medications affordable, accessible, and integrated into patients’ overall care plans.

ROCK Community Center

In 2025, JPCHC integrated into the ROCK Community Center in the Arlington Woods neighborhood by placing a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) on site. Through this partnership with JEWEL Human Services, JPCHC has been able to extend care to youth participating in ROCK programming, with the LPN serving in a school-nurse-like role to provide basic medical support.

Looking ahead to 2026, plans are underway to add a Nurse Practitioner (NP) at the Community Center. This addition will enable JPCHC to provide comprehensive primary care services to youth and their families on-site, as well as facilitate referrals to the 16th Street location for additional services, such as behavioral health or dental care.

These initiatives represent meaningful steps forward in JPCHC’s mission to provide high-quality, compassionate care to all—regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. Thank you for your support throughout 2025. We wish you a happy new year and look forward to continuing to partner with and care for our communities in 2026.
